Paris Impressions 09, Detail of the Royal Gate. I took this photograph at Versailles because I was fascinated by the details of the golden gate. There was so much intricate ironwork and decoration that I wanted to get closer and capture just a small part of it.
Paris Impressions 19, Le Stryge Over the Street. From above, Le Stryge looks down on the people and traffic moving through the streets. I loved the contrast between this old, still stone figure and the constant movement of the city below. It almost feels like a scene from a movie.
Paris Impressions 04, Eiffel Tower Reflection. I took so many photographs of the Eiffel Tower, but this is one I’m especially proud of. I took it while walking away from the tower, just after the rain. I noticed its beautiful reflection in a puddle and loved the unexpected way the tower appeared upside down.
Shadows of the Sacré-Cœur Inside the Sacré-Cœur, I noticed the light and shadows falling across the curved bench and wall. I liked the way the visitors became part of the scene without taking away from the beauty of the space.
Paris Impressions 06, Love Is Us I came across this old stone passage covered with names, dates and little messages left by people. I loved the idea that so many visitors had left a small trace of themselves there. For me, it became a quiet reminder of how people come and go, while the old walls remain.
