Photography is how I remember places. I'm drawn to the unexpected — a reflection after the rain, changing light, an interesting shadow, an old building, or a small detail that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Le Stryge Over the Street | Paris Impressions — No. 11
From above, Le Stryge looks down on the people and traffic moving through the streets. I loved the contrast between this old, still stone figure and the constant movement of the city below. It almost feels like a scene from a movie.

I had taken so many photographs of the Eiffel Tower, but this one happened unexpectedly. I was leaving after the rain when I noticed the tower reflected in a puddle. I quickly took a shot, and somehow this became my favourite of all the Eiffel Tower photographs I took.

There was something about Le Stryge that made me stop and look. Sitting high above the rooftops, the figure almost seemed lost in thought. I liked the quiet, mysterious feeling of it watching over Paris.

EIFFEL TOWER REFLECTION
I had taken so many photographs of the Eiffel Tower, but this one happened unexpectedly.
I was walking away from the tower after the rain when I noticed its reflection in a puddle. I quickly took the shot — and somehow, this became my favourite of all the Eiffel Tower photographs I took.

Inside the Sacré-Cœur, I noticed the light and shadows falling across the curved bench and wall. I liked the way the visitors became part of the scene without taking away from the beauty of the space.

I was fascinated by Le Stryge when I saw it high above Paris at Notre-Dame. Its strange, weathered face and the busy city stretching out behind it created such an interesting contrast. It felt like this old stone figure was looking down on modern Paris.

Love Is Us | Paris Impressions — No. 06
I came across this old stone passage covered with names, dates and little messages left by people. I loved the idea that so many visitors had left a small trace of themselves there. For me, it became a quiet reminder of how people come and go, while the old walls remain.

I took this photograph at Versailles because I was fascinated by the details of the golden gate. There was so much intricate ironwork and decoration that I wanted to get closer and capture just a small part of it.
